'Hiding Away From The Light' is Paper Sparrows' debut long player. The Folksville Records release was recorded in Edinburgh at Chamber Studios.

The 10 tracks on the album comprise reflection, regret, the assessment of past mistakes, and of reconsidering the merits of darkness and light.

The songs are forward looking but haunted by nostalgia, referencing childhood memories, class culture and the cost of survival through the hard times.
